Welcome back to the 3 Value Running Backs for Week 13. Week 12 ended up being a mixed bag for me in Fantasy Football. I lost two very big games in leagues I care about deeply, while winning in all my others. Overall, Week 12 was an odd week, and I am positive many owners ended up with results like mine above.

The Value Picks of Thomas Rawls (14.1 points) and T.J. Yeldon (10.2 points) were servicable and should have come close to hitting value. While I missed on Chris Johnson (1.7 points) struggled mightily in what should have been a favorable matchup, before leaving injured.

The avoiding of Eddie Lacy (19.9 points)who attacked early and was a lone bright spot for the Packers was not have ideal. Chris Ivory ( 17.2 points) also had a very nice day and once again was a miss for my avoiding. While LeGarrette Blount (2.7 points) definitely fell short of their cost and point potential so at least I got one call right in Week 12.

Also a reminder that I am not encouraging using two of my three picks each week as much as targeting one running back and avoiding others each week as you build your lineups.

With that I wish you all the best of luck, and encourage you to stay tuned for Levi Serfoss’ and my own DFS picks and Lineups later in the week if you want targets, or roster construction help on and even on Twitter.

Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football: 3 FanDuel Value Plays at RB

1. David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams ($5,900)

Johnson looks to have an expanded role with injuries to both of the Cardinals primary backs in Week 12. Johnson has been very good in his limited touches as it is and with an expanded workload he could be a fantastic value play.
(Week 12 FanDuel Points: 9.9 /FPPG: 8.5 )

2. Charcandrick West, Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders ($6,700)

This pick relies more on West being healthy enough to start. Spencer Ware filled in just fine, so a time share could be damaging to both of their stock, but West is talented enough to do some damage either way. If West is ruled out Ware makes a great plug and play instead.
(Week 12 FanDuel Points: 0/ FPPG:8.6 )

3. Giovani Bernard, Cincinatti Bengals @ Cleveland Browns ($6,200)

Bernard is a solid play every week, and in this matchup he should do even better. In Week 12 he struggled but still produced 7.7 points. I can’t help but see his production go up, and if he finds the end-zone even better.
(Week 12 FanDuel Points: 7.7/ FPPG:11.4 )

3 Running Backs to Avoid on FanDuel

1. Thomas Rawls, Seattle Seahawks @ Minnesota Vikings ($7,000)

If Rawls gets the starting nod against Minnesota in Week 13 I still can’t foresee him doing much damage against one of the best run defenses in the league. It is certainly possible, but once again once we hit that 7K mark, I like to have assured production.

2. LeGarrette Blount, New England Patriots vs Philadelphia Eagles ($6,900)

Blount is once again in my avoid list, and I think for good reason. He has not been producing over his past two weeks, although he has faced good defenses. This week he faces a defense that is weaker, but the Patriots are coming off of a loss and I can’t help but think Brady will be tossing the ball around this week. I could be wrong, but I am not trusting him.

3. Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions ($6,900)

The Packers will be seeking revenge for their loss in Lambeau to the Lions once this season and Lacy has been running very well. However, it feels to my like a game where Aaron Rodgers will be getting back on track and throwing the ball. Lacy will be involved, just not as much as has has been over the past two weeks.
