The first two weeks of the season have been very strange to say the least. Calvin Johnson gets four targets in Week 1? DeMarco Murray has two rushing yards against the cowboys defense? Andrew Luck has five INTs after two weeks?
To quote Vince Lomabardi, “what the hell is going on out here?”
So in this week’s SCFE Fantasy Football podcast, Sarah Lewis and I go over some of the top rated players who have been, let’s just say, struggling in the early season. I start off by giving my thoughts on the struggling Indianapolis Colts and which off their offensive starts I am the most worried about. Hint: It’s not Andrew Luck.
I also give my thoughts on Calvin Johnson, who some people wondered after Week 1 if he was washed up. Insane I know.
Sarah also shares a lot of my questions and concerns about what’s going on in Indianapolis. We also discuss some of our frustration and disappointment with the early season returns of top running backs we drafted like C.J. Anderson, DeMarco Murray, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Hill. These guys were supposed to be building blocks of a lot of Fantasy rosters and so far have not lived up to expectations. We also had a breakout game from Cincinnati’s Giovani Bernard, which probably worried Hill owners to their core. Sarah and I do our best to lessen your worry.
Some of this is probably attributed to some poor quarterback play for their respective teams. They’re probably seeing front sevens determined to stop the run.
We go over the struggling Philadelphia Eagles and what ever is happening with the Miami dolphins. We even take a look at the murky world of top tier quarterbacks through the early season. All that and more this week on the SCFE Fantasy Football podcast!
