Welcome to the Fantasy Baseball Hitting Planner for Week 13!
Each week, we try to point out the best set of hitters to target, so check back every Friday.
Week 13 presents a handful of good matchups that could help you rack up stats to climb in the standings or pad your lead.
The Blue Jays have two favorable matchups against the Red Sox and Tigers. Meanwhile, the Reds face two blowout-prone teams in the Twins and Brewers. The Orioles’ hot bats will host the Rangers at home, then on the road against the White Sox.
The Athletics could put up some big offensive numbers as they play the Rockies and Mariners at home.

Best Hitter Matchups for Week 13
Devon Travis, 2B, Toronto
Travis is set to return from the disabled list this week and should be inserted right back into a potent Blue Jays’ offense. After starting the season off hot, Travis injured his shoulder and has been out since May 17. If you are looking for help at MI, Travis gets two very good matchups against the Red Sox and Tigers.
Marlon Byrd, OF, Cincinnati
Byrd, too, has recently returned from the disabled list after missing most of June with a wrist injury. Since his return, Byrd has swung the bat well over six games, recording eight hits and two homers. He continues to see time as the Reds’ clean-up hitter and should be in a fantastic spot to rack up numbers in Week 13 against the Twins and Brewers.
Wilin Rosario, C, Colorado
Rosario has swung the bat extremely well of late, and with his at-bats all but assured as a DH in Week 13, he’s a strong play against the Athletics and Diamondbacks. Rosario also continues to see at-bats from the sixth spot in the order – a prime position to rack up RBI.
Brett Lawrie, 3B, Oakland
Lawrie’s season started slow, but he has turned it on in the month of June by hitting .361 with three homers, 15 RBI and seven doubles. He and the Athletics get two strong home matchups against the Rockies and Mariners, where Lawrie should have no problem continuing his offensive assault in Week 13.
Ike Davis, who recently returned from the DL with a quadriceps injury, has been playing first base for the Athletics and – assuming he continues to get starts – makes for a decent reach play if you are hurting at CI.
Good luck in Week 13 and let our Hitting Planner show you the way, and may your hitters find the bleachers more than they find double-play grounders!
