Unlike season long Fantasy leagues, Daily Fantasy Football continues for all, regardless if you are out of the running for a championship. Speaking of season long leagues, Week 13 ended a lot of Fantasy players’ seasons and Week 14 ended even more dreams of winning Fantasy championships for the 2015 season. Did you have Andy Dalton or Thomas Rawls who both left their games early with injuries and weren’t able to return? Some people even had both of those guys. Ouch!

Even if you some how survived through some miracle, how do you like your chances this week? What if you had a player who had been struggling and had a bad matchup and you sat that player on the bench while he went off for 100 yards and two touchdowns?. Todd Gurley was on the bench for a lot of teams last week as they painfully watched him go off vs. the Lions.

I tell stories of all these nightmare scenarios because in Daily Fantasy Football, you don’t deal with any of these problems for more then a week.

Now that all the nightmare stories are over, lets get to this week’s Daily Fantasy Football value plays and ones to avoid at the WR position.

All prices are based on Fanduel pricing.

Week 15 Daily Fantasy Football

3 Value Wide Receivers

Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints ($8,000)

Calvin has a dream match up against the Saints defense and he will be lining up across from Brandon Browner on most snaps. Calvin and the Lions offense has been a lot better of late, but he struggled last week which could make this a nice buying opportunity as the recency bias will drive down his price making him a nice value. Especially if you consider the other top Wide Receivers have some tough match ups.

John Brown, Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles ($6,300)

Several factors have Brown in this column this week. First of all, this game should have a high over/under and the Eagles run a lot of plays, which usually translates for more plays for the opposing team. Additionally, Brown has a great match up going for him and Carson Palmer should be able to make enough plays to put Brown in position to torch the Eagles secondary with his speed.

James Jones, Green Bay Packers at Oakland Raiders ($5,300)

Jones has been terrible of late, except for his big game vs. the Vikings where he went for over 100 yards and a touchdown. This is also a revenge game for Jones because he was cut in the preseason by the Raiders. Having a Top 5 QB also helps and the match up is good for Jones as well. This is a GPP play only because Jones is a very risky play.

3 Wide Receivers to Avoid

Brandon Lafell, New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans ($6,300)

Lafell has a Hall of Fame QB that is dominating the league with his play so far this year and he couldn’t ask for a better matchup on paper. Football games ARE NOT won on paper though, they are won on the field. In reality, Lafell has a bad matchup and it seems lately that he doesn’t have that edge he had last year when he was putting up some monster games. Lafell also grades out as one of the worst rated WR in the game so far this year

Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals ($6,100)

Matthews has been the poster child for the Avoids column and in all season long formats well. What started out as such a promising season has turned into a complete dumpster fire. He has even been cut in some season long leagues due to his inconsistent play. He also faces a tough Arizona secondary this week and slot Cornerback Tyrann Mathieu will be covering him most of the night. You should pass on Matthews in every Fantasy game possible.

Stevie Johnson/Dontrelle Inman, San Diego Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins ($5,500/$5,000)

Johnson is nursing a groin injury and Inman looks like he might return after being sidelined with a neck injury. Given this information, I would steer clear of both of these WRs. Not to mention that Philip Rivers doesn’t look right and it appears the whole team has quit. Bottom line is avoid this situation like the plague even if these guys can play this week.

Well that’s all for another week of Daily Fantasy Football value WRs and ones to avoid! Good Luck everyone
