Welcome back to the 3 Value Play Running Backs for Week 7. Another week of relative success for me in DFS, although my running backs tended to struggle, or at least the ones I targeted as values.
The Value Pick of Danny Woodhead (9.6 points) fared well while Ryan Mathews (5.1 points) and Charcandrick West (2.4 points) fell well short of exceeding their value.
The avoiding of Frank Gore (10.4 points) was solid but didn’t meet value, Melvin Gordon (0.9 points) took a seat due to fumbling, and LeGarrette Blount (22.9 points) well…I was very wrong about Blount in Week 6.
Another week of miscalculations and projections for my running backs, but I am certain we will rebound in Week 7! We can’t be 3-for-3 every week right?
Also a reminder that I am not encouraging using two of my three picks each week as much as targeting one and avoiding others each week as you build your lineups.
With that I wish you all the best of luck, and encourage you to stay tuned for Levi Serfoss’ and my own DFS picks and Lineups later in the week if you want targets, or roster construction help on socalledfantasyexperts.com and even on Twitter.
Week 7 Daily Fantasy Football: 3 FanDuel Value Plays at RB
1. Latavius Murray, RB, Oakland Raiders ($7,000)
Murray is explosive and a very talented back. He is also facing a Chargers defense that allowed James Starks to trounce them. Starks is good, but he is not Latavius Murray good. I like him plenty this week as a borderline value play. Very solid RB2. (Week 6 FanDuel Points: BYE /FPPG: 12.8 )
2. Lamar Miller, RB, Miami Dolphins ($6,700)
Rather than spending $100 more on my three avoid backs, I will be plugging Miller in plenty of lineups. The new regime seemed to capitalize on Miller’s abilities and fed him the ball plenty and he was a focal point of the offense in Week 6. He faces a tougher defense in the Texans, but Miller should be a key cog to the Dolphins offense this week. (Week 6 FanDuel Points: 18.8 / FPPG: 9.1 Points)
Key to #Dolphins Week 6 success was renewed emphasis on Lamar Miller & running game, neither of which ex-HC Philbin seemed to believe in.

3. Justin Forsett, RB, Baltimore ($7,100)
Forsett has become more consistent and useful to Fantasy owners over the past three weeks. His ability to rush and catch passes out of the backfield against the formidable Cardinals defense makes him appealing. Forsett may not explode, but he should meet value this week based on volume alone. (Week 6 FanDuel Points: 13.6 / FPPG: 12.7 Points)
3 Running Backs to Avoid on FanDuel
Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco ($6,800)
As you will see down the road, I appear to have an issue with $6,800 running backs this week. I am avoiding all of them in Week 7. Hyde has talent, and will get volume, but he is in Seattle and barring a few big runs he should remain stymied all game.
Joseph Randle, RB, Dallas ($6,800)
Randle has been overshadowed by Christine Michael discussion this week, and if he in fact loses carries, or even worse the starting gig, Randle’s opportunities will fade. At this price I am avoiding him, and all Dallas backs at all costs in Week 7.
LeGarrette Blount, RB, New England ($6,800)
Ok, Ok I was very wrong on Blount last week but this week I fully expect more Dion Lewis against the tough Jets defense. Blount’s history against the Colts in Week 6 continues, but I am not buying a repeat performance in Week 7.
